On-Site Services
Working in combination with Phillips Kiln Services, British Rema provides international coverage for the service, maintenance and repair of ball mills and other rotary vessels.
Often scheduled to coincide with major plant maintenance programmes and shut-downs, with Phillips' engineers usually involved in multiple aspects of the programme, the availability of skilled personnel on site, fully inducted into site protocols, risk management systems and health and safety procedures, enables the repair and maintenance of equipment to be carried out cost-effectively and with the minimum of disruption. In other circumstances, such as machine breakdown or in smaller site environments, repairs can be carried out on an ad hoc basis as required.
Engineers are located across Europe and Africa and we can move staff and equipment quickly and efficiently.
Typical site services provided are:
Site surveys: mechanical condition assessment; optimisation of speed of rotation; shell re-alignment
Troubleshooting: temperature and vibration checks; air supply checks; monitoring the efficiency of closed-circuit systems; energy consumption monitoring
Service, repair or replacement of parts: including diaphragms, grates and screens; lifters, liner and grinding plates; lining refurbishments; mill shells; trunnion bearings; drive and gear components; feeders, discharge hoppers and ductwork
Supply of consumables: grinding media of all relevant sizes and materials
