Rotary Impact Beater Mills
The British Rema Rotary Impact Beater Mill (or “M series” mill) is a simple, versatile high-speed impact grinder generally suitable for materials of up to 3 Mohs hardness. It can be equipped with a variety of internal stator and rotor configurations, thereby enabling the unit to meet a wide range of applications including pre-grinding, medium and fine grinding, de-agglomeration and dispersion.
Features
• Suitable for products of 300 microns and below.
• Capacities ranging from a few kilos to several tonnes per hour.
• Energy efficient operation.
• Interchangeable grinding elements and sieve rings to suit a wide range of applications.
• Model range from 5 to 50KW.
• Symmetrical and reversible rotor design for maximum life.
• Individually replaceable tool steel grinding blades.
• Rapid and simple access for ease of cleaning and maintenance.
• Stator assembly (grinding elements and sieve assemblies) easily removed for clean-down and maintenance.
• Inlet chute fitted with removable magnet for protection against tramp metal.
• Mild steel or stainless steel construction.
• Optional ceramic lining for wear resistance.
Operating Principle
• Rema Beater Mills operate on the high speed impact principle with or without internal sieve ring.
• Feed material enters the eye of the rotor. Particles are thrown outward impacting on each other and against the grinding blades.
• Particles are projected tangentially across the sieve, shearing between the blade surfaces and the sieve ring, and the optional grinding jaws.
• This action occurs until the particles are small enough to pass through the sieve openings and into the discharge.
• Close tolerances between the rotating and stationary surfaces maintain the accurate gap for precise control of particle size.
