Rema Vacuum Dryers
Models:
Various configurations in terms of capacity, heating medium (steam, thermal oil) and power, and numbers of compartments, heated inserts and trays.
Operating temperatures up to 140oC
Applications:
Drying under vacuum is a widely used thermal process in many branches of the pharmaceutical, food and chemical industries, and for some sensitive products it is the only practical drying option. By reducing the pressure within the oven, the water (or other solvent) begins to evaporate at a lower temperature than at atmospheric pressure, thereby enabling the gentle drying of temperature- or oxygen-sensitive products to very low residual moisture levels without affecting any of the product characteristics.
The rate of drying can be optimized by careful control of the temperature, pressure and residence time parameters.
