Founded in 1926, British Rema is one of the UK’s longest-established businesses specialising in powder processing technology, and is highly respected in the field of particle size reduction and size control. We design, supply and install milling and classification equipment and systems, and also offer a contract processing service for customers who have one-off batches to process or who choose to outsource their entire production.

Plant and Equipment

British Rema offers a complete and cost-effective range of powder size reduction and classification equipment, from pilot plant through to large industrial-scale projects. Our product ranges include air micronisers (spiral flow jet mills and opposed jet mills), impact mills and ball mills, with a variety of stand-alone or integrated classifier options. Our engineers have designed and project-managed major turnkey installations from the pharmaceutical to fine chemical and mineral industries worldwide. Alternatively we can simply supply a single piece of equipment ready to plug in and go.

Contract processing

Following a major upgrading of facilities and investment in additional equipment in 2007, British Rema offers a comprehensive contract processing service. Equipped with a variety of mills and classifiers and supported by our own analytical laboratory, we have experience in handling a wide array of materials from specialist minerals to application-critical composite resins for the aerospace industry. Accredited with ISO 9001:2000, we have externally validated quality systems and a dedicated quality control team that offer our customers a full audit trail.
